Event DescriptionThe SAAC Board of Directors presents "Laissez les bon temps Roulette," a Mardi Gras Casino party Sponsored by Bancorp South on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the South Arkansas Arts Center from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This event features a gourmet dinner, live music and dancing, a casino, a wine pull, a silent auction and a live auction. See below for more details on each aspect of the evening.
VIP tickets: EARLY admission and cocktails beginning at 6:00 pm
General admission: Cocktails begin at 6:30 pm
Dress: Cocktail attire
Minimum age of guests: 21 yrs.
The gourmet dinner will be catered by Upper Crust Catering of Haynesville, LA. Dinner service will be a buffet with "stations" featuring many different selections from which to choose. Live music and dancing on the SAAC stage in the Callaway Theatre will feature "Windstorm" from Shreveport, LA. Windstorm is a seven-piece band that covers everything from KC & The Sunshine Band to The Commodores, Earth, Wind & Fire, etc.
The SAAC Casino will be held in the Russell Ballet Studio with two craps tables, two roulette tables and two black jack tables. Players can purchase more SAAC dollars to continue playing from our bank. There will goodies available for purchase using SAAC dollars at the end of the evening.
The SAAC will sell numbered corks to patrons for $20 each and they will then "pull" the bottle of wine that is also numbered correspondingly.
The live auction will happen in the Callaway Theatre and the live auction items that we have obtained are truly exciting! Margy has worked really hard to offer our patrons the opportunity to purchase fabulous catered dinners, art work, and an overnight trip to Little Rock.
Mardi Gras inspired art work will be the focus of the silent auction offerings. Well known local and regional artists are creating paintings, drawings, masks and sculpture to be offered up for bidding.
Ticket prices: VIP $175 per person (40 available). This ticket will gain the patron early admission to the event, seating for dinner in the SAAC Casino (Ballet Room), $125 in SAAC dollars with which to play in the casino and dedicated concierge service
General ticket: $150. This ticket allows the patron to enter the venue at 6:30 p.m., seating for dinner in the Price or Merkle galleries and $100 in SAAC dollars with which to play in the casino
