The South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society is hosting a quilter's workshop presented by Trisha Nash and Betsy Welch of the Union County Quilter's Guild. Clean Harbors is offering a FREE collection of household hazardous waste for El Dorado and Union County residents. Open the third Saturday of every month April through September from 8 a.m. to noon. Most items are accepted, including used oil and filters, batteries, paints, antifreeze, degreasers, dry cleaning fluids, herbicides, pesticides, poisons, pool chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, over-the-counter medicines, butane and propane cylinders, drain cleaners, aerosol cans, car batteries, and more. Bring items in a sturdy disposable container. Items NOT accepted include: smoke detectors, fire arms, explosives, compressed gases, radioactive waste, business generated waste, biomedical waste, tires, appliances, e-waste and trash. Apr 20   Concert of Worship Presented by Arkansas Master'Singers
First Baptist Church announces that the Arkansas Master’Singers will present a FREE Concert of Worship on April 20, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium located at 100 West 8th Street in El Dorado. The over 200 voice Arkansas Master’Singers consists of ministers of music/worship leaders, directors, accompanists, choir leaders, pastors, staff members and staff spouses from Arkansas Baptist Churches in every corner of the state and all places in between. These men and women find incredible joy in singing and worshiping together. The men’s chorus began in 1961, while the women’s choir started in 1973. In the early 1990’s the groups came together under the name of Master’Singers. The Arkansas Master’Singers just returned from a twelve day mission trip to Ukraine. The choir and orchestra were able to present eight concerts to standing room only crowds of hurting people. The group has also toured Guatamala, Brazil, Germany, and Russia in past years. The concert will include selections by the men’s chorus, women’s chorus, combined chorus, and the orchestra. Everyone is invited to attend this incredible concert of worship at El Dorado Municipal Auditorium. The Administrative Professionals Appreciation Luncheon is Wednesday, April 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at El Dorado Conference Center, 311 S. West Ave. Please contact the Chamber about sponsorships.

The Chamber invites you and your administrative professionals to join us for a buffet lunch as we recognize administrative professionals on this special day. We will also award the Administrative Professional of the Year.

Space Walk of Southwest Arkansas is now servicing the El Dorado area. They provide inflatable family fun with their wide range of bounce houses. Space Walk partners with American manufactures to provide safe, inspected, American-made Units. The El Dorado Union County Chamber of Commerce will be doing a ribbon cutting 12:00 on April 20th at Chamber of Commerce.
