General Assembly Meeting with Arkansas Army National Guard
It is my privilege to invite you to attend a very special civic leader event at the ElDorado Army Reserve Center, 101 Hwy 167B, Eldorado Ar. This event is an effort to connect you and other members of the General Assembly and local community leadership with the National Guard units that support your area. It is important that as community leaders you understand the capabilities, as well as the economic impact that local National Guard units provide for your district. Due to the unprecedented level of deployments over the past 13 years and the current fiscal constraints we face it is equally important that we work together in providing the grassroots support to all of our Soldiers, Airmen, Family members and employers of Guard members. The event will take place at the Army Reserve Center on December 15, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. The program will last approximately one hour and will consist of an information brief and tour of the facility led by local Guard leadership from the local unit. We are extending an invitation to other local leaders and the local state legislature to come join us as well. Appropriate dress is business casual and refreshments will be provided. The audience we are looking: Mayor, local law enforcement, Fire Department, School officials, Business leaders, Public elected officials, Red Cross. Anyone is welcome to attend that would like to have better understanding on the National Guard role and how we can be used. We ask that you please send RSVP to SFC Mark Martin at (501) 212-7480 or email at mark.d.martin1.mil@mail.mil by December 10, 2014. We look forward to seeing you there.

Holiday Luminaria Service an American Cancer Society Event
Honor and Remember your loved ones with Cancer. Just like the Luminaria Service during our Annual Relay for Life event. You can purchase a bag for our special holiday service. We will light the luminaria bags on the courthouse steps and the names will be read to remember those who have fought their battle and honor those who are currently fighting and in remission. We will light the white bags at 6:00 and begin reading the names. If you purchase a bag for the holiday event you will also have your name submitted for the annual Relay Event. So it's double the love.
