The 2014 KIX103 Wildcat Scramble
The 2014 KIX103 Wildcat Scramble is a golf tournament sponsored by KIX103 for the El Dorado Wildcat football team. It is a four-man scramble with prizes paid to 1st-, 2nd- and 3rd-place teams. This tournament is a fun way to help raise money for the Wildcats. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., and tee time is at 1:00 p.m. Every player will receive a tee gift. The cost of a team is $500. Back 2 School Bash
The second annual Back 2 School Bash is an effort by United Way of Union County, the Boys & Girls Club, South Arkansas Regional Health Center and the Back 2 School Blast Committee. Free backpacks will be handed out at the event, which will also include a resource fair, games and food.

Young Manufacturer's Academy Program
This project seeks to raise student's, parent's, and educator's awareness of manufacturing-related careers for their knowledge and skill requirements, workplaces, and possible educational and career pathways. Also, increase student's interest in manufacturing-related careers, improve student's confidence in their ability to succeed in manufacturing-careers, and help to develop and utilize student's acquisition skills.

Origins of World War I
A special lecture by Dr. Bill Robison, professor of history and department chair at southeastern Louisiana University, will mark 100 years since the start of the Great War. An expert on British History, Dr. Robison is the author of Tudors on Film & Television. He is also the editor of Historical Dictionary of Stuart England (1995), and Historical Dictionary of Late Medieval England,1272-1485 (1998).

Head To Toe Health Fair for 50 and Better
There will be over 30 venders giving out information and performing health screenings for early detection of many different health issues. The fair will take place on August 7th from 9am to 1pm at Champagnolle Landing and is free to the public for ages 50 and over.

United Way Loaned Executive Training
The Loaned Executive Program is a collaborative effort between United Way and local businesses or organizations. The sponsoring firms select an individual who demonstrates leadership qualities to work in various divisions during the fund raising campaign. Loaned Executives participate in a training program to develop a better understanding of community needs and the United Way of Union County.
During the campaign, the Loaned Executive’s time is spent in the community calling on area businesses, planning and implementing workplace campaigns in response to our donor’s requirements and interpreting the United Way program.

Join Petsense in celebrating the grand opening of their new business at 2600 North West Avenue on Saturday, August 16. The event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony hosted by the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce. There will also sales during the day from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Swinging for Dub Golf Tournament
Nobody knows how costly fighting cancer can be until you have experienced it. It's not the medical bills that are so hard to pay, but being off work, travel to hospitals and doctors, lodging and meals. The goal of the Swinging for Dub Golf Tournament is to provide a fun filled golf event while raising money for Deputy Dub Ingram and his family. Showdown at Sunset
The American Business Association named Main Street El Dorado's Showdown at Sunset one of the Top-100 Events in North America. The last Saturday night in June, July and August, local actors re-enact the historic 1902 gunfight between Marshal Guy Tucker and the Parnell Brothers.
Characters include: City Marshal Guy Tucker, grandfather to former Arkansas Governor Jim Guy Tucker; store owner Tom Parnell; brother Matt Parnell; photographer Bob Mullens; Sheriff Norris and others."This historic portrayal of life in El Dorado in the early 1900s includes live music prior to the re-enactment."
Show dates are Saturday June 28th, July 26th, and August 23rd. Entertainment begins at 6 p.m. with the re-enactment starting at 6:30 pm.
Showdown at Sunset is open to the public and there is no admission fee.Group seating is also available.

19th Annual SIGHT Celebrity Bowl-a-thon Fundraiser Annual event to raise monies to fund projects.
