Apr 4 El Dorado Jaycees 20th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
The Jaycees 20th Annual Easter Egg Hunt is at the South Arkansas Arboretum on Saturday, April 4, at 11:00 a.m. Included will a bouncy house and hot dogs.  The hunt will start at 12 p.m and is free for ages 0-12. More than 5,000 eggs will be hidden with a special egg for each age group. 0-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12.

The EPD is now accepting applications for Police Officer. You must be at least 21, have a GED or Diploma and not have been convicted of any felonies or misdemeanors that would reflect bad on the department. No experience necessary. Apr 9 U. S. Congressman Bruce Westerman El Dorado Office Ribbon Cutting & Reception

You are hereby invited to the grand opening of the new Fourth District office in El Dorado. We will hold a grand opening celebration on Thursday, April 9th, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at our location inside the Union County Courthouse at 101 North Washington Street, in the heart of downtown El Dorado. The ribbon cutting will be held on the steps of the North Jefferson Street side of the courthouse, with light food and refreshments served in the lobby.

We hope this grand opening gives us an opportunity to meet and discuss the issues that are important to the Fourth District, as well as highlight the work that our district staff has been doing for constituents.

BancorpSouth & El Dorado Service League present the 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on April 11-12, 2015 at the El Dorado Golf & Country Club. Apr 11 El Dorado Kiwanis Club Child Safety Fair
El Dorado Kiwanis Club Child Safety Fair will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015. The Safety Fair will include child safety seat installation and inspection, as well as other demonstrations related to child safety. This event is expected to feature participation from the El Dorado Fire Department, El Dorado Police Department, Hannah Pregnancy Resource Center, and others. The event sponsored by the El Dorado Kiwanis Club will be coordinated with the Kiwanis International "Kiwanis ONE Day" - a day of community service by Kiwanis International affiliates around the country on April 11.

Apr 11 Frozen Workshop: Queen Elsa Wand and Crown
This fun-filled workshop is based on the Disney hit film "Frozen." Students will make snowflakes and an Else wand and crown using a variety of materials and embellishments. This course is open to anyone that wishes to attend. However, if your child is under age 8, we ask that you accompany them for this workshop. An all-Mozart concert featuring Mozart's famous "Requiem". The SouthArk Choral Society will be accompanied by New York City organist Daniel Beckwith and directed by SouthArk professor Victoria Harden. Soloists will include mezzo soprano Susan Schafer, singer for many years at the New York City Opera; Dalene Davidson, of New Orleans opera fame and currently Hot Springs' The Muse Organization executive director; and Shelton Harden, baritone with a long list of New York City credits and frequently heard in our area.

This event is in conjunction with the Great American Cleanup in Arkansas, sponsored by Keep Arkansas Beautiful. Teams or a team representative will meet at Old City Park (College Ave.) between 8 - 8:30 a.m. to pick up supplies - trash bags, gloves, safety vests. Teams are invited back to the park after they have cleaned their designated areas.
