Senior Circle, a Medical Center of South Arkansas program, is now accepting new members. Senior Circle is a program for individuals age 50 or better who are interested in pursuing an active lifestyle, learning about health and wellness and meeting others. Events and activities are designed to help you stay healthy, vibrant and active. We encourage you to pursue the things you love, try new hobbies and interests and meet new friends.

Decade of Promise
A Decade of Promise -- A celebratory tenth-anniversary program, will take place from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, at the El Dorado Conference Center.
The keynote speaker will be Liz Murray, New York Times best selling author of the autobiography
Breaking Night; and whose award winning movie about her life is entitled,
Homeless to Harvard. She will discuss her journey from homelessness to higher education achievement and beyond. Featured will be remarks from Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and Murphy Oil Corporation Chairman Claiborne Deming. El Dorado Promise success stores will be shared, and the Promise memorabilia displayed.

Cuccidatti, pignolatti, regina, biscotti and more. Plain, filled with fig or nuts, dusted with sesame seeds, these are “special occasion” delights. Cathy Harrell will cover three styles of Italian cookies familiar to Italian-Americans in New Orleans, Chicago and New York.

PETER FLETCHER ~ CLASSICAL GUITAR
Fletcher will perform selections from his new CD, which contains such classical masterworks such as Paganini’s dazzling Caprice No. 24, and the ever popular Cordoba by the Spanish composer Isaac Albeniz. Other repertoire on the program includes Bach’s monumental Lute Suite No. 3, the exciting and fiendishly difficult Five Bagatelles for Guitar by British composer William Walton, Fletcher’s transcriptions of the French composer Erik Satie, and works by Dowland, Llobet and Segovia. In addition Peter will perform a very special arrangement of the Shaker hymn Simple Gifts, which has become a favorite among audiences. On May 6, 2017, Peter will perform this exact program at Weill Recital Hall Carnegie Hall in New York City. There will be a brief intermission for audience convenience and Peter will remain after the program to meet with his fans.
