Events for November 2017

Senior Circle, a Medical Center of South Arkansas program, is now accepting new members. Senior Circle is a program for individuals age 50 or better who are interested in pursuing an active lifestyle, learning about health and wellness and meeting others. Events and activities are designed to help you stay healthy, vibrant and active. We encourage you to pursue the things you love, try new hobbies and interests and meet new friends.

The Murphy USA Classic will return to El Dorado with a Great American Conference football matchup between Ouachita Baptist University and Southern Arkansas University on Saturday, Nov. 4.  Tailgating activities will start around noon, with kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m. at Memorial stadium.
 
Hosted by Murphy USA, the Classic offers a one-of-a-kind game day experience. Food vendors, games, children's activities and much more will join each schools' alumni presence to welcome the two GAC rivals.

El Dorado Regional Dance Competition

Please join us to celebrate the groundbreaking of our second home at the Agape House Children's Home Campus! The Hope House will be a home for foster children, 16 to 21 years of age. This house will focus on preparing and supporting children to age 21 to insure they are able to transition to adult living instead of "aging out" of foster care at age 18 without the skills and education to live a full and productive life!

Focused on the events leading up to and during the infamous D-Day invasion in 1944, this film follows many of the characters involved to highlight both side of the conflict. Don't miss this Veteran's Day edition of the Fall Film Series, happening on Sunday, November 12 at 2:00 PM in the SouthArk Library Auditorium.

On Saturday November 18th The Greater Paradise Missionary Baptist Church will again have a dedicated prayer service for our Police, Fire and First Responders’ staff and family. It is important that we, as a community, come together in prayer to celebrate during this season. The Christmas Parade has been running since 1979, 38 years! The El Dorado Christmas parade, which is the largest Christmas parade in South Arkansas, annually draws thousands of spectators. This a great way for the community to enjoy the Christmas spirit along Northwest Avenue and Downtown! It features beauty queens, antique cars, floats and more.
