Senior Circle, a Medical Center of South Arkansas program, is now accepting new members. Senior Circle is a program for individuals age 50 or better who are interested in pursuing an active lifestyle, learning about health and wellness and meeting others. Events and activities are designed to help you stay healthy, vibrant and active. We encourage you to pursue the things you love, try new hobbies and interests and meet new friends.

You are invited to the El Dorado-Union County Chamber of Commerce Educator's Breakfast. Sponsorships are available. We will be honoring new teachers and the 2017 Teachers of the Year on Thursday, August 3, at 7:30 a.m. at the El Dorado Golf & Country Club. We want to recognize your importance as a new teacher in our community and invite you to attend this special event.

Clean Harbors is offering a FREE collection of household hazardous waste for El Dorado and Union County residents. Open the third Saturday of every month April through September from 8 a.m. to noon. Most items are accepted, including used oil and filters, batteries, paints, antifreeze, degreasers, dry cleaning fluids, herbicides, pesticides, poisons, pool chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, over-the-counter medicines, butane and propane cylinders, drain cleaners, aerosol cans, car batteries, and more. Bring items in a sturdy disposable container. Items NOT accepted include: smoke detectors, fire arms, explosives, compressed gases, radioactive waste, business generated waste, biomedical waste, tires, appliances, e-waste and trash. The event will be from 11-1 with the ribbon cutting taking place at noon at 258 Industrial Road in El Dorado. Wildcat Recycling Inc. is a locally owned partnership here in El Dorado, serving South Arkansas with proven recycling expertise and services.

COME BOWL WITH US!! El Dorado Lions Club will hold the annual Bowl-a-thon at the local El Dorado Lanes bowling alley. All proceeds raised will help further our efforts in assisting the visual needs of the community. Awards will be given to the individual highest score, highest team score and lowest individual score.
